Ballyconnell Festival 2025

Ballyconnell’s much-loved annual festival returns this year from Thursday, July 31 to Sunday, August 3, promising another weekend of community joy, music, and family fun .
Following last year’s rainy but vibrant event, which featured country acts like Cliona Hagan, The Highstool Prophets, and Ruaile Buaile, locals and visitors alike helped to build a wonderful community spirit.
This year’s festival highlights include:
- Pub Quiz Kick‑Off (July 31) – test your local knowledge and enjoy a great night out.
- Tea Party at the Community Centre (August 1) – bring your own treats and support a hub that’s been revitalised with €300K in funding anglocelt.ie.
- Traditional Fair Day (August 2) – expect a kids’ tractor run, pet show, craft stalls, street music, duck race, and a guided tour of the Fire Station.
- Free Family Day (August 3) – hosted in Eugene O’Reilly Park with live performances by Paddy Treacy and Jimmy Buckley rounding off the weekend .
- Evening Concerts – including energetic sets from The Danny Byrne Band, Paddy Treacy, and Jimmy Buckley for festival-goers of all ages .
Organisers, volunteers, local businesses, and festival sponsors like Mannok and Crust & Crumb have all played vital roles in shaping what’s become one of the standout cultural events in the region.
