Culture Night Céilí House Coming to Ballyconnell Market House
An evening of traditional music, song and local hospitality is coming to Ballyconnell Area Market House as part of Culture Night 2026. The Culture Night Céilí House will take place on Friday, 18 September, from 8pm to 10pm, offering the community a chance to gather and enjoy Irish traditional culture in the heart of the town.
Traditional music, song and supper
The night will be led by Johnny Donohoe and will feature traditional music and song. A traditional supper will also be served, making the event more than a performance: it is intended as a welcoming social evening where people can listen, meet and share in a living part of local culture.
Advance booking is essential
Places are limited and advance booking is essential. Anyone wishing to attend should text their name to 087 474 0973. The event is presented by Ballyconnell Area Market House, and the promotional flyer carries the Cavan Arts logo.
A local Culture Night gathering
Culture Night takes place nationally on Friday, 18 September 2026. Ballyconnell’s Céilí House adds a distinctly local gathering to the programme and offers residents and visitors an opportunity to enjoy traditional music, song and food together in one of the town’s best-known historic buildings.
