Ballyconnell festival is coming back to the town

This year’s Ballyconnell Festival will return to the town, and  it will be more impressive than ever.

The event will begin on Thursday, August 3, with a table quiz for which the McKenna family trophy and cash awards will be awarded.

 

From 9-11 p.m. on Friday, Eamonn Jackson will start musical acts.

Eamonn Jackson has appeared at all of the major events, including “Cowboys and Heroes,” “Roscommon Racecourse Day with the Stars,” Shannonside’s legendary Night with the Stars,” “The Sunday World Awards,” and many more.

Fair Day is held on Saturday, August 5th, during the August Bank Holiday weekend. It’s a day full with entertainment, shopping, fun, and  activities for the kids like as the pet show, teactor run, and fire station tour.

The Ballyconnell Festival is excited to host The Tumblin Paddies on our stage as part of our weekend of fantastic music on Saturday, August 5!

A youthful, six-piece band from County Fermanagh, The Tumbling Paddies has dominated the music landscape for the past two years. Any music enthusiast would want to listen to their innovative, catchy compositions, which have a distinct Trad/Pop/Folk feel.

On Sunday, June 6, Robert Mizzell will take the stage. For more than 20 years, Robert has called Ireland his home. He began his training in country music when he first came to this country and is now a well-known country artist in Ireland and the UK. He has so far put out 12 solo studio albums, two full-length DVDs, and he frequently performs with his band, “The Country Kings,” throughout Ireland and the UK. In a survey held by RSVP Magazine, Robert was chosen as “Ireland’s Favorite Country Music Singer.”

The festival’s last musical performance will take place in Ballyconnell on Monday, July 7. One For The Road, a rising Donegal band, will perform at several festivals and significant locations in Ireland this year. Their blend of rock, folk, and Irish music is sure to energize the audience.
