Proposed N87 Closure: Resurfacing Plans for the Ballyconnell–Belturbet Route
Cavan County Council has proposed a temporary closure of the N87 between Lisnamaine/Sycamore Fields and Gartaquill for resurfacing.
Proposed timing
The notice covers up to eight days between 27 October and 13 November 2026, from 8am to 6pm. It does not identify the individual closure days: this is a proposal, not confirmation of a continuous closure.
Diversions
The proposed diversion runs through Derrylin via the N3 and B127/R205. The Council says local access will be accommodated where possible and diversions signposted.
